CAMBRIDGE

Everything Cambridge. This is a bit of a dump for all of my Cambridge related website stuff. All presented together in one place, for the first time.

And The Next Steps...
Thank you all for being part of Davyson.com in the last few years. We're not stopping here. Heck no. We're revamping and going international.

First new feature blog.davyson.com.

Original Projects
In the final piece for the Cambridge Website we have a world cup sweepstake. We have four teams each assigned randomly but with one seeded team each. Watch the eight players take on each other as they attempt to gain the big cash prize. This will be settled on 11th July.

There are prizes for first, second and third place.

Sam, Nick and Laura come together every so often to try to do a crossword. We're not great but we're keen and learning fast. Working at roughly 'Everyman' level at the moment.

Here we post our progress as we hopefully gain experience and some ability.

One very special evening at the university obervatory gazing at the stars and planets. We saw Saturn! (just like the picture on the left) and Mars too. A complete account of events from 10 pm through to 3 am with photos from Nick's camera can be found here.

Possibly future telescope trips to come too.

We've always been serious about quality music here on the Cambridge website. Just look at the lyrics we provide for Muscles - Ice Cream. Now brand new for 2010 we're providing a permanent home for playlists from Curry Clubs and other events throughout fourth year. Links are provided to open them up and import them into your own Spotify.

It's always difficult to be organised for May Week. For a start you have to start planning five months in advance!

Luckily the May Week page has just been updated for 2010 with all the new May Balls and June Events. Find out information about each event including launch dates and prices. And you can add yourself to the attendance or worker lists!

Have you ever wished you could take all your Hermes memories with you when you leave Cambridge. The University Computing Service has other ideas. Find out how to keep all of your Hermes email forever, for free.

Full step by step instructions provided. Will take 2-5 mins. Seriously.

A collection of reviews from local takeaways in Cambridge. We've got an incredible amount of curry houses reviewed now. Some even reviewed by Andrew Smith himself. And plenty more are being added - quite worryingly almost everyday. At some point we better cut back on takeaways. Not any time soon though. Mixed participation here.

Cycling trips starting in Cambridge and exploring the surrounding area. So far we've been to Ely and London.

Oxford next. Current participants - Me and Joe Travis. Anyone else want to come?

A totally interactive list of where everyone is living next year. You can add your room -- it's dead easy. Raven login of course! It's really funky and all exclusive content. Add where you are living next year now!

This is the biggest web dev undertaking for the site so far. It's live and working at the minute. Hopefully it will stay that way. Contact me if you need technical help.

A detailed look at the rooms available in hostel following a trip made their by Nick, Joe and Sam. Full information about gradings and other facilities. Helping you to make sure that you make the right choice for next year. The very best choice would probably be to choose elsewhere...

I've always liked North Court.

A completely reworked "Back To Cam" page. You yourself can now add the date that you'll be coming back to Cambridge and see when everybody else will be too. Terrific stuff!

Add your name to the currently very empty board...

Back to Cam is back for Easter '09! Submit your return now...

Exclusive Content
A map to help people out with balloting and making choices about where they want to live in Blantyre. Created by Gareth Jones. Redistributed here without permission.

Exclusive! Halfway Hall menu before anyone else.

Update: Actually turned out the officially published menu misprinted the main course. The version on this site though was spot on. Thanks ao278.

Nick Flynn steps up to deliver to you an abridged version of the weekly college newsletter. It comes exactly once a week and doesn't clog up your inbox! Just log on to find out if anything important is happening.

A man that needs no introduction. Humour from the legend that is Alex White. See his brilliant Style Guide and musings on FLFs. If you've got more content from Alex send it in!

Other things that don't really fit into any other category. Only maps for Andy at the moment.

Protected Content
Requires Raven login. Something very exclusive. If you don't know the password then don't even bother trying to look at it...
Classic Pages

Brand new interface! Much improved. All the same texts but more of them. Fantastic stuff. There's even a few from Alex White.

The brilliant playout song is here captured in terms of it's lyrics. Sing along and follow each "Woah" and "Ahh". Fantastic.

Some of the very best musings uttered by Andrew Smith. He's always coming out with brilliant content. These are just the few I've managed to collect.

As a birthday treat for Nick Flynn, we constructed and exploded a volcano round the back of Blantyre house. Full video footage is now online.
